We believe everyone should have access to high-quality art education, with no financial, physical or practical barriers.
MAKE A DONATION
We receive no revenue support from the government and rely on the support of individuals, companies and foundations to sustain and develop our programmes and to build our bursary funds. Every donation we receive, however small or large, makes a tangible difference to our students and is vital to our mission of lowering the thresholds to art education.

You can make a one-off or regular donation of any size or you can donate via one of our donation forms.
If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation can qualify for tax relief under Gift Aid – so if you donate £600 to the Academy, we can claim an additional £150 from Inland Revenue. If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer, you can also benefit by claiming tax relief on your donation; for example, as a higher-rate taxpayer, you could claim up to £250 on a £1,000 donation, so your gift would only cost you £750.
BECOME A PATRON
Enjoy discount and priority booking across our courses, exclusive studio tours, invites to Patron events, and much more. In return, your generosity will directly support our students and help us to continue to make our courses accessible to all.
Established in 2019, our Patron’s Circle is a community of our closest supporters and a group of like-minded philanthropists who recognise arts education as the cornerstone of the UK’s creative ecosystem. Our Patrons’ support is vital for our work in making art education accessible to the widest possible audience, enabling us to plan for the future, fulfil our potential and make a positive change to hundreds of people on a daily basis.
As a Patron you will be supporting our vibrant artistic community by enabling us to deliver on the following:
- Offer and increase the number of bursaries for our academic courses, enabling artistic excellence to be achieved by students from all walks of life
- Provide local schoolchildren with free places on our Young Artists courses
- Continue to run free weekly online art classes, open and accessible to all all levels
- The development of a distance learning platform, enabling us to widen the reach of our academic provision
- Support art teachers nationwide through free professional development courses at a time of government underinvestment in art education
- Provide free tuition to local charities working with disabled artists
- Provide low cost studio space for artists in zone 1, as well as subsidised exhibition space
- Maintain and update our facilities to enable broader accessibility and to offer our students a high-quality experience
We have three Patron levels with different ways to engage with and support our work:
£240 annually (£70 benefit; £170+ donation)
You’ll enjoy access to all areas of our community with the following exclusive benefits:
- 5% discount and priority booking on our public courses
- 10% discount on purchases in our art shop
- Invite to the opening of our Graduate Show
- Invite to student, alumni and tutor exhibitions
- Priority booking to fundraising events
- Invite to the annual Principal’s Breakfast where you can meet and mingle with our current students
£2,00 annually (£400 benefit; £1,600+ donation)
You’ll enjoy all the benefits that our Charcoal Patrons receive, plus:
- 10% discount and priority booking on our public courses
- A visit to one of our renowned tutor’s art studios
- An invite to the preview of the Graduate Show and a Principal’s personal tour
- Two tickets to a Patron Drink & Draw event, which takes place each term with a high-profile tutor
£10,000 annually (£2,000 benefit; £8,000+ donation)
You’ll enjoy all the benefits that our Cadmium Patrons receive, plus:
- Acknowledgement of support within our refurbished buildings
- An editioned print of Principal Rob Pepper’s ‘Art Academy London’
- An annual personalised art workshop for up to 10 guests with a high-profile tutor and drinks reception
- An arts education workshop provided to a school group of your choice either in London, or at a pre-agreed alternative venue
- Priority booking for your own private events and dinners at the Academy
