February 15th, 2019

Portrait Sculpture Masterclass

If you’re looking for something to do in London over the Easter holidays, why not try one of our four or five-day short courses?

You’ll learn from expert tutors in small classes, giving you the benefit of hands-on tuition across a range of courses in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Print. Find out more about our Easter courses here or take a look at some of our Easter course highlights below.

Portrait Sculpture Masterclass with David Klein

Explore the portrait in 3D in this immensely absorbing and highly enjoyable masterclass. You’ll spend five days exploring portrait sculpture under the tutelage of David Klein, member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors (MRBS) and the Society of Portrait Sculptors (SPS). You’ll build on your existing experience to further your understanding of how to create a clay portrait sculpture from a life model. Find out more.

Printmaking courses

We’ve got some great printmaking courses available this Easter! In our Etching Workshop with Frederic Morris, you can spend and intensive three days exploring line, texture and tone by etching a zinc plate. Our four-day Relief Printing Course with Carol Wilhilde-Justin allows you to explore both reduction linocut, famously used by Picasso, and to experiment with woodblocks and colour separations to create multi-plate prints. Get 20% off our Easter print courses with the code EASTER2019.

Drawing For All

A wonderful opportunity for artists with all levels of experience to explore the skills of drawing and life drawing. Under the expert guidance of tutor Francesca Corra, you’ll learn fundamental drawing skills, including composition, tone, measurement and movement before moving on to develop your own creative approach. One-day Taster courses

Our taster days are a great way to try out different mediums before committing to a longer course. We currently have spaces left on our Drawing taster, where you’ll explore line, tone and composition to gain confidence with pencil and charcoal. We also have space on our Hand-Built Ceramics taster, a fun and engaging way to get used to working with clay, including pinching, coiling and basic finishing techniques.
