CPD DAYS FOR TEACHERS

Our popular CPD Days offer you the chance to take part in artist-led practical workshops across painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media.

We’re passionate about the possibilities of creative subjects as part of everyone’s education and supporting those who teach art. Our popular free CPD days for art teachers in schools and FE offer the chance to take part in artist-led practical workshops, to explore skills and ideas you can take back into your classroom.

The days also provide a great network opportunity and an open forum for you to engage and build relationships with peers from all over the UK. A complimentary lunch and tour of our campus is included.
Our next CPD Day is: TBC

Example sessions

Printmaking workshop: Using DIY techniques this session will explore ways of making prints without a printing press. In addition, you will be introduced to incorporating low-toxic printmaking practices using day-to-day household products to realise your art sustainably.

Relief sculpture workshop: An introduction to working in 3D with clay and plaster. In this workshop we will invite participants to make a design in clay. The clay design will then become a mould into which you will pour plaster. The type of design can be adapted to suit all learner ages and can include making letters and numbers to help with literacy and numeracy. By the end of session you will have a small plaster relief that can be hung on your wall!

Fine Art Award for 16 to 18 year olds

One of our most thrilling initiatives for 2024 is the launch of our Fine Art Award. This competition is open to all artists between the ages of 16 and 18, encouraging young talents to showcase their creative potential.
