THOMAS GOLUNSKI

Thomas Golunski is a contemporary figurative artist based in the south of the UK. He uses intuitive mark-making techniques to capture an accurate impression of a moment, while focusing on the impact that illumination has on his subjects. Thomas works predominantly in oils and charcoal to recreate the immediate impression, urgency and atmosphere of these moments in time.

Students need to ensure that they have all the  materials  and technical equipment needed available from the first lesson.

The lesson will be facilitated through Zoom platform. Please ensure your computer/laptop/smart phone is set-up prior to the first lesson.

• Your set of materials should include at least the following:
  • Plain A4 paper, 1x sheet
  • Pencils, 2 grades from the following: 4B, 2B, HB, H
  • Rubber x1 and putty eraser x1
  • Pencil sharpener x1
  • 3x canvas, canvas board or primed paper*
  • canvas/board rough size: 2x 10×8”, 1x 16×12”
  • paper rough size: 2x A4, 1x A3
  • Colours, 1x each: titanium white, lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, cadmium red, alizarin crimson, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, burnt umber
  • Hog hair brushes, filbert shape: 1×12, 3×8, 3×6
  • 250ml Turpentine or Zest it or Sansodor
  • Two jars with lids
  • Kitchen roll

Enforcement

If you violate the code of conduct we retain the right to eject you immediately from the lesson. Future participation will be discussed and you will be notified of the appropriate course of action.
