ANNABEL MACIVER

Annabel’s practice switches between print, painting and sculpture depending on what she is investigating. She is currently particularly interested in memory and emotions, how they attach to objects and shift with time.

Annabel has taken part in a number of group exhibitions including the RA Summer Exhibition, The Woolwich Print Fair and the Society of Women Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries. She has also won awards print and sculpture (The Pure Arts Prize, Surrey Sculpture Prize and Intaglio Prize). Annabel ran a life drawing class for many years, and now teaches part time at the Art Academy and is also currently a Print Associate with the Art Academy Print Studio.

Students need to ensure that they have all the  materials  and technical equipment needed available from the first lesson.

The lesson will be facilitated through Zoom platform. Please ensure your computer/laptop/smart phone is set-up prior to the first lesson.

• acrylic paints – you will need Titanium White; Ultramarine; Burnt Umber; and Black Mars. The following colours would be good to have too: Yellow – ideally Yellow Ochre or Cadmium Yellow; Cadmium Red and Sap Green
• tear-off palette
• paper/sketch book
• jars with water for cleaning brushes
• paper towel
• surface protected from staining

We will not be held responsible for any technical issues that you might experience with your own equipment or connectivity. If for any reason (including technical) students are unable to take part, we will not be providing compensation. We are not responsible for any subsequent cost accrued from high data usage.

Enforcement

If you violate the code of conduct we retain the right to eject you immediately from the lesson. Future participation will be discussed and you will be notified of the appropriate course of action.
