Scrap book or sketchbook: In the period leading up to the course, collect pictures of things that appeal to you, including photos of textures, sketches or pictures of things you see, like sculptures, pots etc
Apron or work clothes
Plastic bags/large freezer bags work well for covering work in progress
Notebook for taking notes and keeping a record of how you did your work
Please bring old clothes or an apron as you may get messy!
The course cost includes white earthenware clay (White St Thomas).
If you have any pottery tools (e.g. kidneys, wooden and metal tools, wires, whirlers, sponges, rolling pins etc) please bring them with you.
You will also be able to purchase some tools from the Art Academy shop at the start of the course (prices subject to change):
