This popular course is ideal for beginners or repeat attendees. You will develop a composition through line, texture and tone by multi-etching a zinc plate in a mordant of saline sulphate. The five week course concentrates on hard-ground (fine line) combined with aquatint (tone) in its various forms. The course is flexible in its composition allowing attendees to work at their own speed within the medium. Repeat attendees may also work on their own individual etching projects. The course fee covers materials including an etching needle for attendees to continue working on the plate outside of teaching hours.
