The Art Academy is run across three buildings on Mermaid Court. We have 5 full-time teaching studios and several project and working spaces. We have 3 ceramic kilns and a specialist glass kiln, and a partnership with the London Metal workshop, who allow us access to their studios for specialist workshops.
The Art Academy feels like an art school, there is no white cube to work from here. The studios are in constant working use and as such, you need to expect to get your hands – and probably your clothes – dirty!
The Art Academy is a vibrant artistic community of artists and artists in training. We try to provide a platform for a rich student social life and environment for an exchange of ideas.
The Art Academy strives to share opportunities for exhibitions, commissions and training for our artists.
There are many student events and parties throughout the year that you will learn more about upon becoming a student at the school.
